Since its inception in August 2002, Ophelia's Cup has seen a few changes; changes that have brought about positive results. The changes haven't ended, we are still changing today to meet the needs and desires of our customers and community. The only things that have not changed are our God given love for our community and the desire to use that love to bring something special to those around us.

 

In August 2009, the Redman family purchased Ophelia's Cup. Sisters Kristen Redman Jurgilanis and Jennifer Redman Tedford were no strangers to the food industry. They were both former "Raxters" as they worked at Rax Restaurant for several years here in Olney. In addition, Jennifer was baking desserts and cakes for others, Kristen was the manager of Bobe's Pizza, and together they ran a local catering business. When Ophelia's Cup came on the market, they just couldn't pass it up. Along with their family, they bought the business and have turned it into a welcoming environment that offers something for everyone.

 

Here at Ophelia's we have a way of taking your ordinary everyday favorite foods and combining them with other ordinary (or sometimes not so ordinary) foods to make an extraordinary good meal. You have no idea how good a turkey sandwich really can be until you have one from Ophelia's Cup!

 

From the minute you walk through the door you feel it. It may be hard to describe, but nevertheless you feel it. Whether you describe it as a sense of comfort and peacefulness or a feeling of distinctiveness and novelty, there is no mistaking the sense of belonging.
